 According to the most recent Explore Minnesota Golf survey 74% of golfers polled (both resident and non-resident golfers) sited the golf course as the number one reason for destination golf travel.

 56% said their main source of information for selecting a destination golf course were golf  magazines and newspapers.  It went on to indicate that both resident and non resident spent  $2000. or more in Minnesota on golf trips, and played an average of eight rounds of golf while visiting.   The typical resident & non-resident participating in this survey were couples with grown children, with more that 55% having an household income of $70,000 or more and held a Bachelor's degree.
